We’ve now made it easier for Rfam users to submit an alignment of a new family, or an improvement to an existing family in Rfam. As long as you have a Stockholm format alignment, you can use our web form to submit your alignment. If you’re submitting an alignment for a new family, we also request a PubMed identifier of the paper describing the RNA (you can still contact us as normal to submit an alignment for a pre-publication family). Each family page now has a “submit your alignment” link under the Alignments tab, and the form is also available from the Contact Us pages of the Help documentation. You’ll get an email confirming we’ve received your alignment and we’ll be in touch with a new family or an update, as appropriate.
